Police track down man after stolen vehicle damages car and house, Slacks Creek

A 20-year-old man has been taken into custody after a stolen four-wheel-drive was involved in a collision damaging a fence and house at Slacks Creek in the early hours of this morning.

Around 3.25am a stolen Nissan Patrol has collided with a fence and a parked Hyundai Getz pushing it into the front deck of the house causing substantial damage.

The driver fled the stolen four-wheel-drive.

The Dog Squad was deployed tracking the suspected driver to a nearby residence where he was taken into custody.

The man is being treated at the Logan Hospital for minor injuries from the crash.

Police investigations are ongoing.
