Police treating fire as suspicious at Kingsthorpe

Investigations are continuing into a suspicious fire at Kingsthorpe in the early hours of this morning.

Preliminary investigations indicate around 4.30am, police and emergency services were called to a service station on the Warrego Highway.

On arrival, a demountable building located nearby was engulfed in flames.

QFES attended the address and extinguished the blaze.

The building sustained significant flame, smoke and water damage.

Detectives from the Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch declared a crime scene and investigations are continuing.

Motorists with dashcam footage who may have been travelling on the Warrego Highway between Toowoomba and Oakey between 4am and 5am this morning, Wednesday June 13, are asked to contact police.
