Police update 1: PSPA revoked, Sunnybank Hills

Police have revoked an emergency declaration made at Sunnybank Hills earlier today after taking a 25-year-old man into custody without incident (January 27).

The man is currently assisting police with their investigations into the incident where a 26-year-old woman was held at knife point.

Negotiators and specialist police responded and resolved the incident swiftly.

The 26-year-old woman was transported to hospital for observation.

The 25-year-old man is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
