Police Update 1: Wounding Incident Charge, Inala

Acacia Ridge detectives have charged a man with attempted murder following a wounding incident in Inala yesterday, June 9.

It will be alleged at approximately 6.15am, a 33-year-old Forest Lake man broke into a property on Bellbird Street and stabbed a 35-year-old Inala man before fleeing on foot.

The victim sustained multiple stab wounds to his abdomen and limbs.

He was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

At 6.30am, responding officers from Inala Police Station swiftly took a 33-year-old Forest Lake man into custody on Emu Place.

Police allegedly located a knife on the man.

Officers will further allege the two men were known to each other.

The 33-year-old Forest Lake man has been charged with with one count of attempted murder.

He is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today, June 10.
