Police update 2: Armed robbery charges, Hyde Park

A Roma man has been charged in relation to an armed robbery at a Hyde Park convenience store in July.

Police will allege around 10pm on Monday, July 18, a man entered a service station on Charters Towers Road armed with a knife.

He allegedly threatened the attendant, demanded money and left the store a short time later on foot with a sum of cash.

The 29-year-old has been charged with one count of armed robbery.

He appeared in Roma Magistrates Court this morning (September 15) and is expected to reappear on September 20.

The store attendant wasn't physically uninjured.
