Police update 2: Missing 12yo Gympie boy now in Brisbane

Police looking for a missing 12-year-old Gympie boy who is now in Brisbane have released CCTV images of two men the boy was seen with yesterday (Friday, July 16).

The images were taken on a suburban train with the boy seen to enter the train at Varsity Lakes (Gold Coast) at 12.10pm and exit at Altandi Station at 3.03pm.

The boy travelled with two men and three teenagers, with police releasing the below images and appealing for the men to come forward and contact them (details below).

Yesterday, the missing boy was wearing a blue jumper and grey cap. One of the men was wearing a black jumper (with A/X on the front) and the other man a yellow hooded jumper and blue LA cap.

Anyone with information that can assist with this investigation is asked to immediately contact police.

Police are continuing to seek public assistance to locate a 12-year-old boy reported missing from Gympie on July 13.

He was last seen on Mary Street, Gympie at 4am, July 15 wearing a black cap, black shirt, black pants and black shoes, which was captured on CCTV.

New information suggests the boy travelled from Gympie to Roma Street by train on July 15, arriving in Brisbane at 3pm.

He is described as Caucasian, approximately 145cm tall with blonde hair and light-coloured eyes.

Police and family hold concern for his welfare due to his age.
