Police update 2: Missing man at Mount Isa

Police have released vision as they continue to appeal for public assistance to locate 22-year-old Tallis Ahfat missing from the Mount Isa area since mid-December.

The search for Tallis continues, as police recommence a comprehensive land and aerial search in the area he was last seen.

Tallis was last seen by family at about 4am on December 16, 2022 on Carbonate Street.

Police obtained CCTV footage which shows Tallis crossing the Alma Street bridge on foot at 3:51am that morning.

Investigators are urging anyone who was in the area at that time to contact police.

Tallis has not been in contact with family or friends since he was last seen.

Tallis suffers a medical condition which requires medication and serious concerns are held for his welfare.

Tallis (pictured) is described as a First Nations man, about 170cm tall, proportionate build, dark curly hair with short back and sides.

He has a distinctive star tattoo under his left eye and an Indigenous flag on his left forearm.

Tallis was last seen wearing an orange, black and white polo shirt with black shorts and shoes and a maroon bucket hut.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
