Police Update: Animal Cruelty Appeal, Broadbeach

A 41-year-old man has been charged as part of an animal cruelty investigation at Broadbeach on 30 April.

It will be alleged around 9.15am the man was seen mistreating a dog while walking on Hooker Boulevard.

Following investigations, a 41-year-old Broadbeach Waters man was today taken into custody and has been charged with animal cruelty.

He is due to appear before Southport Magistrates Court on 18 May.

The dog has been given into the care of the RSPCA.
