Police update: Armed robbery, Annerley

Two teenage boys have been charged in relation to the alleged armed robbery of an Annerley pharmacy on December 4.

It will be alleged at approximately 7.50pm, seven male persons have entered the Ipswich Road store armed with baseball bats and machetes.

The group have allegedly damaged property, threatening staff and customers, before taking a quantity of cash and prescription drugs.

Investigations led police to issue a search warrant at an Inala address on December 7, where it is alleged a quantity of prescription drugs were located.

A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody at the scene.

He has been charged with one count each of armed robbery in company, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs and possess drug utensils. He was refused bail to appear before Richlands Children's Court.

Investigations and information received from the public led detectives to attend a Doolandella address yesterday (December 8), where a 15-year-old boy was taken into custody.

He has been charged with armed robbery in company and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He was refused bail to appear before Brisbane Children's Court.

Investigations are ongoing.
