Police Update: Fatal Traffic Crash Charges, Goodna

Police have charged a 17-year-old boy following a fatal traffic crash in Goodna on the 11 March.

Police will allege about 9pm, a Mitsubishi Lancer was travelling west on Brisbane Road before crossing onto the wrong side of the road and colliding with the Ipswich Motorway underpass.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 16-year-old Redbank Plains boy sustained life threatening injuries and was initially transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital but was later declared deceased.

The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old Collingwood Park boy, and the other passenger a 16-year-old Redbank boy, sustained injuries and were transported to Princess Alexandra hospital.

The 17-year-old boy has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death or grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear in the Ipswich Children's Court on 13 April.
