Police Update: Fire Investigation, Hope Island

A man has died in hospital as a result of injuries sustained from a house fire at Sickle Avenue, Hope Island on 30 June.

The 84-year-old man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on 1 July.

A 44-year-old man remains in critical condition at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

A 59-year-old woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and remain in hospital.

A man was located deceased inside the property and investigations are continuing to confirm his identity.

Investigations are ongoing.
