Police update: Robbery with violence, Dinmore

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 33-year-old Collingwood Park woman was assaulted and had her car stolen in Dinmore on Friday, May 5.

Initial investigations indicate just before 10.15pm, the woman was walking towards her parked vehicle at a Brisbane Road service station when she was approached by a man who was unknown to her.

The man assaulted the woman and stole her car.

The woman was transported to the Ipswich Hospital with a head injury.

Police located the burnt out vehicle abandoned along the Warrego Highway at Marburg yesterday morning, Tuesday May 9.

The man remains outstanding.

Detectives are appealing to witnesses, specifically anyone travelling westbound along the Warrego Highway at Haigslea and Marburg between 8am and 8.30am on Tuesday to come forward.

Anyone with information or relevant dashcam vision is also urged to contact police.

The car is described as a white 2020 Mazda CX-5 station wagon, missing its rear number plate.

Investigations are continuing.
