Police Update: Search At Killarney

Two 17-year-old boys have been rescued from Main Range National Park in Killarney, following a search that began on Thursday 2 July.

Just before 4pm, emergency services were called following reports two 17-year-old boys had not returned from a planned bushwalk and camping trip on 1 July.

A search and rescue operation involving police, State Emergency Service personnel and Rescue 500 Helicopter was commenced, resulting in the successful retrieval of both boys around 7.12am today, 4 July.

Both boys, were assessed by emergency services and cleared.

Should QPS obtain any relevant vision, it will be issued as an advisory.
