Police update: Serious assault investigation at Milton

Ten teenagers have been charged following the serious assault of a 17-year-old boy at Milton on August 28.

It will be alleged that a large group of males attended a Railway Terrace address, went into a bedroom where a 17-year-old boy was sleeping and assaulted him at around 3am.

The group then fled the scene.

The boy sustained extensive head injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition. No one else at the property was injured.

An Incident Centre was established at Brisbane City Station and ongoing investigations led to the arrest of ten males today aged between 15 and 19 all from Brisbane's southside.

They have all been charged with one count each of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm and contravening order about information to access information stored electronically.

They will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates and Children's court tomorrow.
