Police have charged a teenage boy following an incident at Nambour on Monday where a firearm was allegedly discharged into a residence.
It will be alleged a 16-year-old boy attended a Webster Road address on August 5 just before 2pm, produced a knife and threatened the occupants of the home.
The boy then allegedly made demands for the keys to a vehicle. He left a short time later, allegedly claiming he would come back with a firearm if the occupants did not comply.
It is further alleged the same boy came back to the home around 5.30pm armed with a knife and made further threats while attempting to force his way into the home. He left after being bitten by a dog at the residence.
At approximately 11pm that night police attended the address following reports a single shot had been fired into the house.
When officers arrived, they found a small calibre projectile had penetrated the front wall of the house into the loungeroom, then through another wall into the bathroom where it had shattered the shower screen.
The occupants, a 27-year-old woman and 25-year-old man, were inside at the time but were not hurt.
Police yesterday arrested a 16-year-old Nambour boy at an address in Bli Bli.
He was charged with two counts of enter dwelling with intent and one count each of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of utensils.
Investigations are continuing.
