Police update: Suspicious unit fire, Browns Plains

Police have located the bodies of two people as investigations continue circumstances of a suspicious fire at Browns Plains yesterday morning.

Around 4am, police and emergency services were called to a townhouse engulfed in fire on Moyla Street.

Preliminary investigations indicate the blaze was deliberately lit and a crime scene has been established.

Yesterday evening, the remains of two people were recovered from inside the damaged residence.

Autopsies will be conducted to determine if they are a 49-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man who are still unaccounted for.

Police are working to determine the events leading up to the fire and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
