Police update: Wilful damage incident, Tingalpa

A man has been charged following investigations into an incident at Tingalpa on March 30 where a cyclist allegedly damaged a car.

It will be alleged around 8.20am a woman in her vehicle was approached by a male cyclist in the drive through lane of a coffee shop.

The man had a conversation with the driver before allegedly punching her passenger side mirror, causing it to break off.

The man then rode off with another cyclist.

Following a public appeal by police, members of the public have provided information which has led to a man being identified.

A 35-year-old Mount Gravatt man has been charged with one count of wilful damage and is due to appear on Wynnum Magistrates Court on May 13.
