Police vehicle rammed in Kingsthorpe, QLD

Police are seeking public assistance following an incident where a police car was damaged by another vehicle near Kingsthorpe last night, Queensland Police say.

Initial investigations indicate, around 10.20pm, police located a suspected stolen blue Nissan Navara dual cab utility on the Warrego Highway.

As police approached, the driver of the vehicle drove at and hit the police vehicle twice before crashing through a fence and fleeing.

Whilst doing this, the vehicle has caused significant damaged to the police car.

No one was injured in the incident.

Investigations suggest the ute had been stolen from a Wyley Street address in Dalby and has extensive damage to the front wheels.

It is believed the vehicle could be travelling in the Dalby, Chinchilla, Tara and Toowoomba areas.

The driver (pictured) is described as Caucasian in appearance, light brown hair, short facial stubble and las seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

The female (pictured) passenger is described as Caucasian in appearance, dark hair and last seen wearing a grey hoodie.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam footage is asked to contact police.
