A sergeant from Road Policing Command has been charged following an internal investigation.
The 39-year-old male officer has been charged with seven counts each of obtain financial advantage by deception and obscure number plates.
The alleged offending occurred while the officer was off duty between March and April, 2021.
He has been summonsed to face court at a later date.
