South Hedland Detectives with assistance from Arson Squad investigators are seeking information in relation to a fire at a business in Port Hedland that occurred in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 5 May 2023.
About 12.05am, Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) were called to a gymnasium located on Sutherland Street. The fire caused extensive damage to the structure before being extinguished.
The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious and detectives urge anyone who saw any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles in the area, or who has dash-cam vision of Sutherland Street between 11pm and 12.30am, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
