Pre-sowing pest experts share their management tips

Three of Australia's top pest management experts are coming to the Wimmera and southern Mallee to help farmers and advisers better tackle mouse, snail, slug and herbicide resistance issues before sowing.

Agriculture Victoria is supporting the events held by the Wimmera Catchment Management Authority and the Wimmera Farming Network.

Mouse forums will be held at Yaapeet and Longerenong with CSIRO rodent researcher Steve Henry. While snail and slug workshops are being held at Longerenong and Clear Lake with entomologist Michael Nash.

Peter Boutsalis will also be presenting about managing for 'alphabet' herbicide-resistant weeds at Watchem, Sheep Hills, Brim and Netherby.
