Jacinta Allan is facing a test of her leadership as the Premier continues to avoid scrutiny over the Commonwealth Games debacle.
Mounting evidence presented to the Commonwealth Games Inquiry has contradicted the Premier's version of events, including when she was aware of cost blowouts, the timing of the cancellation and her previous statements to the Victorian Parliament's Public Accounts and Estimates Committee.
Leader of the Opposition, John Pesutto, said: "This is now a major test of Jacinta Allan's leadership and integrity just two weeks into her premiership.
"There is a growing weight of evidence that directly contradicts her claims surrounding the Commonwealth Games debacle that the Premier cannot allow to go unaddressed.
"If she doesn't, we can only assume that she has misled the Parliament and Victorian people.
"Victorians who will pay at least $600 million to clean up this mess deserve to know why the Minister responsible for the delivery of the Commonwealth Games kept the community in the dark for months over escalating costs.
"Jacinta Allan must do the right thing and front this inquiry and come clean with Victorians."
