Dept of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications

Latest funding round will support 12 projects to improve safety of Australian women and children.

The Australian Government has awarded $3.5 million to 12 projects under the final round of the $10 million Preventing Tech-based Abuse of Women Grants Program administered by the eSafety Commissioner.

The projects will help women and girls recognise, prevent and respond to technology-facilitated abuse. There will be a focus on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and girls, people with disability , women from multicultural backgrounds, and older Australian women.

This round includes $1 million for 4 projects aimed at creating positive online experiences for boys and men. This will support them to challenge narratives that link masculinity with dominating women.

The funding builds on a $6.5 million investment in 16 projects since 2023.

This investment is part of Australian Government's National Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children.
