Prime West Perth site set for redevelopment

  • Former Princess Margaret Hospital car park lots under contract to Woolworths Group
  • Redevelopment of the site to complement the adjoining Subi East precinct
  • Lands Minister Ben Wyatt has today announced the 12 lots that formerly comprised parking for the old Princess Margaret Hospital have been sold to Fabcot Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Woolworths Group, following a competitive process.

Subject to development approval, future development of the site may include a shopping centre and residential apartments, providing valuable amenity for West Perth residents, while activating the site and encouraging further urban infill in the area.

Located within walking distance of the Subiaco East Redevelopment Area, development of the underutilised site will complement and enhance the appeal of the entire precinct.

As stated by Lands Minister Ben Wyatt:

"The successful proponent has put forward a proposal that aligns with our broader vision to reinvigorate the area and complement the neighbouring Subi East development.

"I am delighted to see this site, which is surplus to government's requirements, being repurposed, following an open and competitive process.

"This is an incredibly unique opportunity to bring more life and vibrancy to what is one of Perth's finest central locations."
