The Coordinator-General will lead the Employment Lands Roadmap. Working with industry, councils and infrastructure providers to deliver certainty and transparency to the market.
Property Council Executive Director Bruce Djite said the announcements reflect a consensus between government and industry on what South Australia needs to grow.
"Industry is looking forward to working with the Coordinator-General to unlock much-needed industrial land in northern Adelaide," Mr Djite said.
The housing Pattern Book will significantly fast-track the delivery of more high-quality well-located homes.
Property Council Executive Director Bruce Djite said the proposed housing pattern book was also welcomed as a practical reform that could help accelerate housing delivery.
"This is another smart tool in the housing toolkit. If the Malinauskas government is re-elected, they should prioritise this to implement it by the end of this year, with a clear focus on facilitating six- to eight-storey apartments along key urban corridors," Mr Djite said.
"Similar models are already being successfully deployed in New South Wales, providing greater certainty and speed for medium-density development," Mr Djite said.
Mr Djite said however, as with all good ideas, success will hinge on execution.
"These policy announcements represent a practical step towards growing the economy, providing more local jobs and delivering more diversity and choice in housing but the key to success will be how this good policy is executed," Mr Djite said.
