Property crime at Papunya

Northern Territory Police are investigating a series of property offences in the remote community of Papunya.

Sometime overnight, an unknown number of persons have unlawfully entered a number of locations around the community, causing extensive damage.

Local police, crime scene officers and investigators from Alice Springs are conducting enquiries in relation to these matters.

Acting Commander Kirsten Engels said, "A multiagency response is underway to ensure there is minimal impact to the community however these acts of criminal damage will unfortunately have a flow on effect to the entire community. We are urging anyone with information to contact 131 444."
