Property Crime Charges At Townsville 26 June

Townsville police have charged nine people with multiple property crime offences in the past week.

Acting Inspector Phil Watts said Townsville police work around to the clock to deter, detect and investigate property offences.

"We are focused on holding property crime offenders to account.

"This includes relentless pursuing serious repeat offenders who are putting innocent people at risk, driving dangerously and endangering the community.

"We have officers from Tactical Crime Unit, Property Crime Unit, Dog Squad and General Duties officers working across Townsville to locate offenders and disrupt and deter offending," Acting Insp Watts said.

A 28-year-old Mount Louisa woman was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. She is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on July 9.

A 44-year-old Heatley man was charged with one count each of fraud, stealing, possess dangerous drugs and possess utensils. He is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on July 7.

A 23-year-old Kirwan man was charged with one count each of stealing, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempt enter dwelling with intent, enter dwelling with intent, enter and commit, contravene requirement, obstruction, possess tainted and driving unlicenced. He was remanded in custody to re-appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on August 6.

An 18-year-old Condon woman was charged with six counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. She was remanded in custody to re-appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on July 27.

A 39-year-old South Townsville man was charged with three counts of attempt to enter premises with intent and one count each of enter premises and commit, face masked, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter premises with intent and trespass. He was remanded in custody to re-appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on July 24.

A 13-year-old Vincent boy was charged with one count of stealing. He is due to appear in Townsville Childrens Court on June 27.

A 15-year-old Kirwan boy was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He is due to appear in Townsville Childrens Court on June 27.

A 16-year-old Mount Louisa boy was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He was remanded in custody to re-appear in Townsville Childrens Court on July 1.

An 18-year-old Vincent woman was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. She was remanded in custody to re-appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on July 10.
