Community feedback for a proposed off-leash dog park at Linear Park, Mascot is now open until Monday 28 July.
Council has proposed an off-leash dog area that is practical, safe, accessible, and fenced in response to a community-led petition.
Linear Park is a popular green space in a high-density area and the proposed off-leash dog area is located at the park's eastern end, near Gardeners Road and O'Riordan Street. The location has good visibility and screening from roads and homes.
The proposed design meets community needs while respecting the park's existing infrastructure, historical context, planning frameworks, as well as accommodating plans for a fitness station in due course.
Council collaborated with Sydney Water to ensure the proposed design meets land management needs and benefits the community.
