PSO and police member assaulted at Armadale railway station

Malvern police have arrested a woman and two men following an assault on a Protective Services Officer and a police member last night (6 June), Victoria Police say.

The PSO had been patrolling the Armadale Railway Station when he was allegedly assaulted to the back of the head by a woman with a bottle.

Police then arrived to assist and a police member was allegedly kicked by the woman.

The PSO and police member did not sustain any injuries.

A 26-year-old Northcote woman and a 25-year-old Bentleigh man have been taken to hospital for assessment.

The woman is expected to be charged on summons with two counts of assault emergency services worker and resist arrest.

The man is expected to be charged on summons with one count of assault emergency worker and resist arrest.

A 27-year-old Heidelberg West man was released pending further enquiries.
