PSPA declaration at Jimboomba

Queensland Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to an ongoing operation at Jimboomba.

Officers were executing a search warrant at a Hill St property around 9:45am and are investigating the presence of dangerous substances, resulting in the declaration.

The PSPA was declared at 9:50am today (September 14) with the exclusion zone encompassing South St, Mary St, Bell St, Queen St, North St, East St and John St.

Specialist police hope to safely dispose of the items, however the PSPA is expected to remain in place for some time.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone, who have not been asked to leave their properties, are asked to remain indoors until further notice.
