Police are appealing to the public for vision and information, as part of investigations into an injured man who was discovered at Broadbeach Waters this morning, 21 May.
Around 6.10am, police received a call reporting an injured man laying on the ground on Bermuda Street.
Officers attended the scene where they located a 36-year-old Murwillumbah man with significant head injuries and a broken arm.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in serious condition, where he remains.
Police declared a crime-scene at the location around 7am, which was subsequently collapsed at 8am.
Detectives from the Gold Coast South Criminal Investigation Branch are continuing to investigate the circumstances around how the 36-year-old Murwillumbah man sustained those injuries.
Police are seeking any witnesses who may have further information, iPhone or dash-camera footage to come forward.
