Putting police facial recognition on trial London School of Economics 14 June 2022

To get a better understanding of how facial recognition technology in policing and law enforcement is seen, the Biometrics and Surveillance Camera Commissioner is planning to put facial recognition on trial.

Taking place before a live audience, the event will imitate a civil hearing with evidence being heard from expert witnesses and with members of the public acting as a jury.
