The inaugural Quantum New Mexico Symposium is being held at The University of New Mexico later this month. Quantum New Mexico (QNM) is holding the in-person and virtual symposium Thursday, March 31 – Friday, April 1 in celebration of the new Quantum New Mexico Institute (QNM-I) and QNM Coalition.
The QNM Coalition is a statewide effort between multiple research institutions to establish New Mexico as a national hub for the rapidly growing field of Quantum Information Science and Technology. It's a partnership between UNM, Sandia National Labs (SNL), and Los Alamos National Labs (LANL).
The event will mark the launch of QNM-I, a joint research and education institute lead by UNM and SNL which will create opportunities for workforce and economic development in New Mexico's emerging Quantum Economy.
At the symposium, attendees will:
- Learn about the breadth and importance of quantum/QIST across New Mexico.
- Have the opportunity to network with stakeholders across research, education, and economic development.
- Take VIP Tours of UNM labs and resources.
