Queens Park Golf Course re-opened to public

Queens Park Golf Course has re-opened to the public following the installation of Clublinks Management as temporary operator.

The appointment of Clublinks followed an Expression of Interest process last week, that saw several candidates vie for the opportunity to support the club in re-opening to the public.

Clublinks will operate the pro-shop including collecting fees (both green fees and competition), provide tee stewards for competitions, memberships sales, respond to course enquiries, and merchandise sales.

In addition, golf carts will be available for members and casual users to hire over the coming days.

The City asks for patience as it works this week to restore and rebuild all services and systems.

Course maintenance will remain the responsibility of the City's Parks and Gardens team, while the café/restaurant, Double Espresso Café Bar, will continue its operations on selected days.

Queens Park Golf Club will continue to run club competitions outside of the collection of competition fees.

Mayor Trent Sullivan

I congratulate Clublinks for their successful tender and thank everyone involved in making Queens Park Golf Course available to the public once again, in such a short period of time.

While the course has been accessible to club members throughout the past week, I know that some members of the public have been concerned about just how quickly they would be able to return to this outstanding course.

Clublinks has a proven track record of golf course management and I think it is an organisation that will ensure the return to normal public access is a relatively seamless process.
