Queensland Business Leaders To Be Honoured

Six Queensland business icons will be recognised for their outstanding contribution to the state when they are inducted into the Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame this week.

The QUT and State Library of Queensland supported award program, now in its 16th year, will also celebrate a landmark achievement with the Hall of Fame's milestone 100th inductee cohort.

The 2025 Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame Induction Dinner will be held on Thursday 24 July from 6pm at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

QUT Alumni and Engagement Executive Director Associate Professor Paige Hilditch-Maguire said the awards demonstrated QUT's engagement across all sectors, including corporate, entrepreneurial, and social enterprise.

"Our credibility within the broader business ecosystem and our commitment to real-world impact is world-leading and we will continue to partner with the State Library of Queensland on this legacy event for Queensland."

The new inductees will join a prestigious honour roll of leaders who have not only driven economic success but have also influenced industry standards, community development and global innovation, included Stefan Ackerie OAM, Qantas, Lorraine Martin AO, Steve Irwin, The Royal Flying Doctors Service, Therese Rein, and Bundaberg Brewed Drinks.

The full list of inductees along with specially prepared digital stories to commemorate their contribution to Queensland will be released following the event.
