The Crisafulli Government is delivering essential infrastructure to fix Labor's Housing Crisis, unlocking more homes for Queenslanders sooner, with works nearing completion to deliver the Adsett Road Sewage Pumping Station at Burpengary.

Backed by a $2.35 million investment from the landmark $2 billion Residential Activation Fund, the project is part of $45.8 million allocated to priority projects across the Moreton Bay region to accelerate housing supply.

This critical infrastructure will unlock land for more than 1000 lots across Burpengary and Morayfield South, including Stages 2 and 3 of Marquee and LHPP's 125-lot residential development.

The Residential Activation Fund is a key pillar of the Crisafulli Government's Securing Our Housing Foundations Plan, ensuring communities have the infrastructure needed to grow after the former Labor Government locked aspiring homeowners out of the housing market with a 36 per cent reduction in the number of new home approvals

Round 1 of the Residential Activation Fund is unlocking more than 98,000 homes through the delivery of trunk and essential infrastructure such as roads, sewerage and power, with Round 2 applications now open to unlock further homes across the state.

Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning Jarrod Bleijie said the upgrades showed the Crisafulli Government was delivering real solutions to Queensland's housing pressures after a decade of decline under Labor.

"Labor's failures in housing meant Queensland has faced a severe shortfall, where too few homes were built, too much Labor red tape held back supply and residential approvals fell by 29 per cent," Deputy Premier Bleijie said.

"The Crisafulli Government is fixing Labor's mess and pulling every lever possible to deliver a place to call home for more Queenslanders.

"Through our $2 billion Residential Activation Fund, we're fixing Labor's Housing Crisis with practical investment to unlock land, clear bottlenecks and get shovels in the ground so Queenslanders can get into homes sooner.

"The new land supply unlocked through the RAF addresses housing challenges head-on, and we are partnering alongside industry and councils to deliver for all Queenslanders.

"This $2.35 million investment in sewer infrastructure at Burpengary is unlocking new stages of residential land and supporting the Moreton Bay region's continued growth as one of Queensland's fastest growing regions.

"We are working at pace to unlock supply, supply, supply, because we know that availability helps to deliver housing affordability more quickly for Queensland families."

Member for Pumicestone Ariana Doolan said the Moreton Bay region was one of the fastest growing communities in Queensland, and demand for housing had never been higher.

"Under the Crisafulli Government, we're finally seeing meaningful steps toward easing pressure through partnerships with councils and landowners to build the infrastructure that unlocks more housing supply," Ms Doolan said.

"Projects like this provide the backbone infrastructure needed to turn land into real, build-ready homes for local families."

Member for Redcliffe Kerri-Anne Dooley the project proved the Crisafulli Government's genuine commitment to delivering the enabling infrastructure needed to unlock more homes sooner.

"Growth in areas like Burpengary continue to surge and enabling works such as this pumping station are essential to unlocking new housing supply.

"This kind of investment from our government helps ease pressure on the region and ensures we can keep pace with the needs of our growing community."

LHPP Director and Co-founder Steve Holloway said the funding had helped sustain strong construction momentum.

"Support from the Queensland Government gives us the certainty to keep delivering new housing at pace," Mr Holloway said.

"We have strong buyer interest, and the progression of infrastructure like this sewage pumping station helps us meet demand for people to get into their new homes.

"With Stage 1 and Stage 2 sold out, and Stage 3 well underway, this investment from the Queensland Government allows us to deliver well‑located homes more efficiently."

Local governments, developers and landowners with eligible Round 2 projects are encouraged to review the guidelines and prepare their applications.
