Our Quick Response Grants are helping local community groups act fast and make a difference.
Designed for smaller initiatives that support the needs and capacity of organisations and groups to deliver for the Bayside community, the grants provide a simple and accessible way for community organisations to bring ideas to life, respond to emerging challenges, and continue delivering vital services.
From supporting grassroots initiatives to enabling events, programs and small-scale projects, the funding is empowering local groups to strengthen community connections and create positive outcomes for residents.
The current Quick Response Grants program expires on 30 June, with a new program beginning on 1 July. The new program has a limit of $2000 per application and is subject to conditions.
Brighton Croquet Club was recently a successful applicant for a quick response grant to help with their Open Day on Sunday 17 May.
The club is seeking to promote the game in Bayside as a sport for all ages, promoting health and wellbeing and social connectedness.
The Open Day was attended by Bayside Deputy Mayor Cr Andrew Hockley, Cr Robert Irlicht and Kathryn Tozer, Bayside Director of Corporate Services, and James Newbury MP, Member for Brighton.
Club President Bill Marks was grateful for the opportunity to secure funding through the Quick Response Grant program.
"With the generous assistance from Council, Brighton Croquet Club hosted a successful Open Day last week," said Mr. Marks.
