QUT Business School has been reaccredited with EQUIS, the prestigious international benchmark for excellence in business education, affirming its place among the world's leading business schools.
QUT first attained EQUIS accreditation in 2004, leading to its recognition in 2005 as the first Australian business school to achieve triple crown accreditation, comprising EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA.
Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law Professor Sharon Christensen said the reaccreditation was a significant endorsement of the university's global standing.
"We are delighted to have secured another five years of EQUIS accreditation, a global recognition that affirms the quality and relevance of our education, research, engagement and impact," Professor Christensen said.
She said the EQUIS review team commended QUT for its clear strategy and priorities for the years ahead, which reinforced the university's confidence in continuing to strengthen its impact for students, industry, and society.
"This reaccreditation is not just a recognition of past achievement; it challenges us to keep innovating in how we educate future-ready graduates and deepen our partnerships with business, government and our communities," she said.
"It also strengthens our commitment to building our global presence, extending our international collaborations and influence so that our education and research deliver impact well beyond Australia."
Professor Christensen said the EQUIS system provides an important external benchmark that encourages continuous improvement while staying true to the real-world focus of QUT and its commitment to positive impact.
The reaccreditation reflects QUT Business School's dedication to sustainable, ethical and responsible business leadership, and its mission to empower future leaders to positively shape the world through their careers.
