QUT ranked in top 3 business schools in Australia

QUT is ranked in the top three of the 37 business schools in Australia, according to the AFR BOSS national rankings released today.

QUT is the only Queensland university to rank in the top 10 on the AFR BOSS Best Business Schools list, in a tied third position with University of Western Australia and only behind the University of New South Wales and the University of Melbourne on the list.

Professor Amanda Gudmundsson, executive dean of the QUT Faculty of Business and Law, said real-world learning set QUT's Business School apart.

"Every course in our degree programs has industry relationships which facilitate partnerships and expand the connection of our students with industry in some way," Professor Gudmundsson said.

In an Australian first, a collaboration between QUT Business School and MIT Sloan School of Management enables QUT MBA and Executive MBA students to engage in an immersive learning experience.

QUT Vice-Chancellor Professor Margaret Sheil said real-world learning set the QUT Business School apart and that industry and community partnerships were vital.

"We focus on deep engagement with industry, government and the community with every course in our degree program focussing on relationships which facilitate partnerships and expand the connection of our students with industry in some way."

The AFR BOSS Best Business Schools ranking replaces the BOSS MBA rankings and is the only domestic ranking of business schools in Australia.
