Housing works at Ramingining continue at full steam ahead, passing the halfway mark this week.
Three families have received the keys to the new homes that marked the completion of 40 new and upgraded homes in Ramingining.
All three families have been living in overcrowded homes, but now will have their own home.
Decisions around housing designs and tenant allocations are made through Housing Reference Groups, which are made up of local residents who represent different interest groups in the community.
Since 2016, the Territory Labor Government has delivered over 70 new and upgraded homes to Ramingining, with 32 homes currently under construction and improvement works.
Works are being undertaken by local Arnhem construction company Deltareef & DRG Industries.
The Lawler Labor Government has invested $23.3 million to improve housing in Ramingining. Many more homes are set for remote communities across the Territory under the new $4 billion remote housing partnership investment with the Commonwealth Government.
