Construction has begun on the major upgrade of Randwick High School being delivered by the Minns Labor Government as part of its commitment to rebuild public education and ensure families have access to world-class local public schools.

The upgrade to the newly formed co-educational high school in Sydney's east is on track for completion by Day 1, Term 1, 2027, and will include:

  • A new two-storey building with classrooms, a lecture theatre and administration spaces
  • Refurbishment of the performance hub with new classrooms and music practice rooms

The commencement of the latest works at Randwick High School come as three other schools, Bayside High School, Hornsby High School and Asquith High School, opened their doors as newly co-ed for the start of the 2026 school year.
