Ranking: JMU Ranks Among World's Top Ten Percent

Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) achieves an excellent position in the international comparison. It performs particularly strongly in research quality and knowledge transfer.

Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) continues to rank among the world's high-performing universities. In the latest World University Ranking (WUR) published by Times Higher Education, JMU ranks 182nd worldwide, placing it among the top ten percent of universities included in the ranking. JMU ranks 15th in Germany and third in Bavaria.

JMU performs particularly strongly in the fields of research quality and knowledge transfer. With a score of 92.1 out of 100 points, JMU ranks fourth in Germany among the universities and third in Bavaria for research quality. In the field of knowledge transfer, which takes into account research income from industry and patents, JMU ranks seventh in Germany and third in Bavaria.

The World University Ranking, published annually by Times Higher Education, evaluates universities based on performance indicators covering teaching, research, international outlook and knowledge transfer. More than 2,000 universities worldwide were included in the latest edition of the ranking.
