Re-appeal to locate man missing from Fairfield

Police are re-appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's south west.

Hamidullah Zamiri, aged 29, was last seen at a home on Vine Street, Fairfield, about 7pm on Friday (7 July 2023).

When he failed to return and could not be contacted, officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation into his whereabouts.

As part of inquiries, police have established Hamidullah travelled to Redfern Railway Station by train, leaving the station about 11.15pm. At the time, he was bleeding from a hand injury.

Police continue to hold serious concerns for Hamidullah's welfare.

Hamidullah is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, between 160cm and 170cm tall, of thin build, with olive skin and black short hair.

As depicted in the CCTV image, he was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper over a hi-visibility shirt, black pants, and black shoes.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen Hamidullah travelling on the train or at Redfern Railway Station on Friday night, or may know of his whereabouts, to contact Fairfield City Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
