Port Stephen

Each year, we produce an annual report for our community showing our highlights, challenges and performance as well as outlining our next steps for key areas. It also includes a copy of our Council's audited financial reports. Our 2021 to 2022 Annual Report is now ready for you to read.

Port Stephens is diverse – with coastal villages, riverside suburbs, rural lands and historic town centres. Those that call it home have a strong sense of community and unique identity. The priorities and values of the people who live, work and visit our towns and villages are also unique – there's no one size fits all approach across our community.

The theme of the 2021 to 2022 Annual Report is Striking a balance and is about achieving what we can with the resources we have while making sure our community's values and priorities are considered, to best improve their liveability and wellbeing.

We're committed to a transparent reporting and accountability process. We want our community to understand the organisation, our

opportunities and constraints and help guide decision making. The report takes a plain English, honest and authentic approach.

To help you understand our report and get the most out of it, we've created a short video to explain the different sections and get you started.
