The Cook Labor Government is helping to strengthen security for Western Australian small businesses with a new CCTV security rebate announced today.

The WA Small Business Resilience Program - CCTV Rebate will provide matched funding of up to $2,000 per property, to help eligible businesses purchase and install new or upgraded CCTV systems to protect their premises.

The program aims to empower small businesses to take a proactive approach to crime prevention, and in doing so, help deter crimes including theft, vandalism, break-ins, and staff assaults.

All new security systems will be added to the WA Police's Cam-Map WA database of registered CCTV systems across Western Australia to support increased public and business safety.

Applications for the WA Small Business Resilience Program - CCTV Rebate will open on Monday, 19 October. For more information, visit www.smallbusiness.wa.gov.au/CCTV
