Recall of Pasadena Foodland Hot Cross Buns

South Australian company the Chapley Group, which operates Pasadena Foodland, is recalling a number of its hot cross bun products following a customer complaint to the business about plastic in a product.

The foreign matter may cause injury if consumed.

The recall includes the following products that were produced on 7 April, 2019:

  • Choc Chip Hot Cross Buns 6 pack
  • Cranberry and White Choc Hot Cross Buns 6 pack
  • Hot Cross Buns 6 pack
  • Hot Cross Buns Large Loose
  • Hot Cross Buns Fruitless 6 pack
  • Mini Hot Cross Buns 12 pack
  • Mini Choc Chip Hot Cross Buns 12 pack
  • Premium Hot Cross Buns 500g
  • Various weights, 6 or 12 in a pack, packed on 7 April 2019

In South Australia these products were available at Pasadena Foodland and were produced on 7 April 2019.

No other Pasadena Foodland bakery products are affected by the recall.

The cause is being investigated and there is no evidence of a deliberate act.

Anyone who has purchased an affected product should check the "packed on" date and return it for a full refund to Pasadena Foodland.
