Recipients Announced For Student Enrichment Programs

VIC Premier

The Andrews Labor Government is investing more than $7.5 million into Victorian not-for-profit organisations to deliver innovative educational programs that enrich the learning experience of students across the state.

Minister for Education James Merlino today announced almost 80 organisations will receive a share of the funding, which will help deliver student learning programs that are not normally available in traditional classroom settings and teacher professional learning programs to support the delivery of programs that enhance student outcomes.

The programs involve excursions or incursions delivered face-to-face or online by some of Victoria's strongest education organisations.

They include Footscray Community Arts Centre, Musica Viva, Mathematics Association Victoria, Parks Victoria and other organisations across arts and culture, health and wellbeing, and STEM.

Programs align with one or more of the Victorian Curriculum learning areas and may include excursions or incursions that can be delivered face-to-face or online across metropolitan and/or regional areas.

Funded programs will support all Victorian students with exciting ways to learn, whether they excel at school or whether they are at risk of disengaging.

As stated by Minister for Education James Merlino

"Congratulations to all the successful recipients of this funding round - it's great to see so many innovative and creative program ideas that will enrich student learning beyond the traditional classroom setting."

"We're also continuing to enhance the quality of our schools by building the capacity of teachers at schools across the state, ensuring Victorian kids have the very best education."
