Reconciliation Event: Free at Bunjil Place

City of Casey residents are invited to a free community event acknowledging and honouring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories.

To be held on Wednesday 27 May from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Bunjil Place Plaza, this event is part of National Reconciliation Week, a time to reflect on our shared history. This year's Reconciliation Week theme is "All In", a call for everyone in our community to show up, take part, and embrace their own reconciliation journey. Whether you're just starting out or have been walking this path for a while - this space is for you.

The event will include:

• A Welcome to Country

• Storytelling and lived experiences shared by Uncle Lionel from Living Culture

• Interactive traditional dance experiences with Djarlo Dance

• Opportunities to learn, reflect, yarn and connect through interactive stalls.

City of Casey Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen said, "This event is an opportunity for us to come together through storytelling, performances and shared experiences, strengthening relationships between First Nations and non-Indigenous peoples."
