The AFP has sworn in 24 new ACT Policing officers following a graduation ceremony today.
ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) is now recruiting passionate individuals to join its team and help protect and serve the Canberra community.
As part of the recruitment campaign, ACTF&R will host a series of Information Sessions and Come and Try Days to give potential applicants a firsthand look at what a career in firefighting involves. These events offer a unique opportunity to explore the role, meet current firefighters, and learn more about the physical and mental demands of the job.
Information Sessions will be held from 6.30pm to 9.00pm on the following dates:
- Wednesday, 21 May 2025 - Majura Theatre, 11 Lancaster Place, Canberra Airport
- Monday, 26 May 2025 - Virtual
Come and Try Days will be held at the ESA Training Facility, 89 David Warren Road, Hume on the following dates:
- Wednesday, 28 May 2025 – 6:30pm to 9:00pm
- Saturday, 31 May 2025 – 9:30am to midday
