  • One in five Redcliffe Hospital ED presentations are paediatric patients.

Redcliffe Hospital will provide safer and better emergency care for children and families with its new dedicated paediatric ED opening tomorrow.

The new paediatric facilities include a separate waiting area, triage, and treatment spaces specifically designed for children and families.

The upgrade will also deliver 12 more treatment spaces in the emergency department, including a mental health lounge for low-acuity mental health patients needing emergency care.

Additional nursing and medical staff will support the new facilities.
